MAGIS: International Maarif Schools Johannesburg Scholarship exams

The Maarife Giriş Sınavı (MAGIS), also known as the Maarif Entrance Exam, is a scholarship exam administered by the Turkish Maarif Foundation. Since its inception in 2018, when it was conducted in nine countries with the participation of 2,661 students, MAGIS has expanded significantly. By 2024, it had reached over 20,000 students across 30 countries.

 

In South Africa, the MAGIS exam was first introduced in 2023 at the Johannesburg campus. It provides students with the opportunity to secure scholarships ranging from 25% to 100%, serving as a scholarship assessment for those aspiring to join Maarif educational institutions. MAGIS is conducted annually, and applications for the 2025 examination are currently open.

 

This exam offers scholarships to the most academically talented students in and around Johannesburg South and the Cape Town Claremont area. The exam evaluates Mathematics, Natural Science, English, and Logic and Reasoning.

 

The MAGIS 2025 South Africa examination is scheduled to take place on April 12th for students currently in Grades 5, 7, and 9. The deadline for applications is April 9th, 2025.
